Children
Sunday School - Gathering in worship at 10:30am, then children are excused after the Children's Sermon to an age appropriate scripture, activity and story-based curriculum church school.
Nursery -  Nursery is offered for infants to about 4 years of age or they are welcome to stay in worship with the adults. Christ loved a joyful noise and so do we. 

Special Events for the Sunday School are:
Christmas Pageant in December with a Parent's Day out the previous Saturday-children practice while parents do what parents need time to do in mid-December
Advent Celebration following the Christmas Pageant-a potluck meal is offered with seasonal crafts that gather in all generations of the church family.
Easter People Celebration on Palm Sunday the children parade into worship with their palms after which all are invited to a meal followed by seasonal crafts to celebrate the coming of Easter
Vacation Bible School - Four churches strong, pre-school-6th grade are invited to join us in the adventure.

Youth 7th-12th grades
Youth Sunday School 10:45-11:45, 2nd-4th Sunday of each month
OWLY (Organization of Whatcom Local Youth grades 6th-12th) Fridays 7pm-9pm at Christ Lutheran Church.
Quarterly service opportunities are offered such as leading Chapel at the Lynden Christian Healthcare Center, serving meals and work projects
Confirmation  This is a mentor-student based class that offers exciting opportunities to learn and to experience our growing faith-together. Students choose two names they would like to have as their mentor-the pastor coordinates the partnering and the pairs decide when/where it is best to meet.
Mission Trip  Where it will take us depends greatly on the souls who commit to the task. This is a faith and learning activity that begins long before we go on the trip. Open yourself to servant-hood-in your community and beyond.

Adults
Sunday: There is a on-going drop-in Upper Room Bible Study each Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. Come and take part when you can.  Additionally, there are Adult Study groups the meet off and on through the church year.  The subjects will vary from Bible Study, to current events and seasonal studies. Each study will vary in length, and are led in such a way that those interested are invited to join in on Sunday mornings when available.

Monday: 1:00pm -- There is an on-going Adult Education class that covers various subjects during the year.  Recent classes include "Jesus and His Parables" and "Pathways to Prayer."  Generally, these classes are led by Pastor Bobbi. 

Bible Study at Ferndale Senior Center (1998 Cherry St) Fridays from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Join us for informal reading and discussion of various Bible verses.  We believe the Bible is the word of God and that the Holy Spirit is the real Teacher.  All are welcome to come and take part.  For more information call the Church office or Larry Nordby, Discussion Leader,  at 384-4420.

Other classes and small group gatherings will be offered throughout the year to supplement our standard offerings.  Check this web site and church newsletter for information as it develops.
